Man, when you work in retail, you realize just how STUPID people are.
So I was ringing in a sale and the lady hands me her Visa card. I ask,
“Can I see some photo I.D. please”
Woman: “But it has a chip”
Me: “I’d still like to see some I.D. please”
Woman: “But no body else knows my pin. No one else has ever asked me to show my I.D. for a card with a chip”
Me: “Well I’d still like to see your I.D. We’ve had frauds and stuff you know”
*Lady reluctantly gives me her I.D.
WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM? Why are you putting up such a fucking fight for showing us your I.D. in the amount of time that you spent arguing with me, I coulda ran through your sale and you could’ve been five shops over. Fucking dumbass. Like we’re trying to look out for YOU. Not waste our times and yours thank you very much. Jeezus. Dumb people these days. You learn so much in retail — how to run a store, what things are REALLY worth, and how to use a cash register. But I think the biggest thing you learn is just how effing stupid people are. Jeezus christ man.
